7.08.2013. FIAV General Assembly. BHVS is the 68th FIAV Member

Yesterday (Aug, 6), within the framework of the 25th International Congress of Vexillology, the 23rd General Assembly of FIAV was held, whereon the BHVS was unanimously accepted as a FIAV member. The BHVS appointed representative to General Assembly was Roumiana Popova. Along with the BHVS the new FIAV members are: the Portland Flag Association (USA), Bandiere Storiche (Italy) and Genealogical Society of Ireland. The next 26th ICV (2015) will take place in Sidney, Australia. For the hosts of ICV 27 (2017) and ICV 28 (2019) were chosen Greenwich, England UK, and San Antonio, Texas USA, respectively.

7.08.2013. 25th International Congress of Vexillology, Rotterdam

From Aug, 4th to Aug, 10th, Rotterdam is the host city of the 25th International Congress of Vexillology. The organizers are the Netherlands Vexillological Association, the Netherlands Flag Museum Foundation and the Rotterdam Flag Parade. After the 1st (1965) and 6th (1975) congress this is the third Dutch hosting of the congress. The BHVS was presented in the event by Roumiana Popova and August hadzhi Petrov. They attended the lectures on the second congress day (Aug, 6).
